Make sure to check out our super detailed YouTube video in the photo section where we tell you everything you need to know about converting your Troopy.
Overview
Rooftop tents offer a fantastic blend of convenience and adventure, but their drawbacks can sometime outweigh their benefits. The Alu-Cab roof conversion aims to address those concerns, giving you the best of both worlds including:
- Maximising cargo space: Giving you ample storage space for carrying more gear.
- Lower Centre of Gravity: Essentially integrating a tent into your vehicle's design helping you maintain a lower centre of gravity, improving stability and handling.
- Enhanced aerodynamics: Minimising the impact on your vehicle's stability and handling
- Weather-Proof Comfort: Allowing seamless access to both your bed and kitchen/storage area while staying dry and comfortable out of the elements.
Easy Access
This roof conversion is engineered to deliver the ultimate camping experience without compromising on functionality and convenience and is designed to fit your Troopy, transforming it into an even more capable adventure rig.
- No More Ladders: Say goodbye to climbing up and down ladders. The roof conversion simplifies access, letting you quickly unlatch and open your roof with ease.
- More Roof Space: The conversion frees up your roof space, allowing for a full size roof rack. This means you can carry more gear without compromising access to your living area.
- Customisable Packing: While heavy items on the roof might impact how smoothly you can open the roof, you have the flexibility to experiment and find the optimal setup for your needs.
- Quick Access and Comfort: The roof opens in seconds, and with the flip-up bed with mattress provides easy access to your clothing and cupboards. Enjoy the convenience of standing upright while changing, adding a touch of comfort to your off-road adventures.
- Effortless Bedding Storage: The roof can be closed with your bedding still inside. No more stuffing sleeping bags or searching for space for your blanket and pillows. As long as your bedding is relatively flat and neat, it's all stored securely up top, ready to use with just a latch and flip.
The Alu-Cab conversion makes going off-road easier, more convenient, and incredibly capable. It’s the ultimate upgrade for the Land Cruiser Troopy, ensuring you’re always ready for your next adventure.
